Simpliciti Telecommunications respects your right to privacy. This statement sets out important information about privacy protection applied to information we gather. Simpliciti Telecommunications is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 and abides with the National Privacy Principles.

  • Phone Number(s)
  • Dates of Birth
  • Drivers license Numbers (Customer Identification)
  • Account Names and Numbers and the information that makes it possible to obtain payments (Banking or/and credit card details)
  • Email Addresses
  • Passwords, PIN Numbers (including on-line billing password
  • PUK codes for mobile phones
  • Account information such as usage, bills and payments.

If Simpliciti does not receive sufficient information supplied by the customer, then Simpliciti is unable to provide a service to the potential customer.

Information Collection

  • Submitted by you, such as when you provide information by telephone or in document form or when you enter your details on our website
  • Supplied by third parties, such as credit reporting agencies;
  • Information resources that are publicly available
  • Simpliciti's agents (sales representatives)
  • Telephone conversations with Customers and emails from Customers
  • When legally required to do so

Use of Information

  • Provisioning or connecting your service
  • To answer customer enquires
  • For credit verification purposes
  • Investigating complaints and fixing faults in relation to your service
  • obtain payments where automatic payments are agreed
  • To place orders for a customer’s line (such as new line connection or relocation and adding products and features to an existing line).
  • For billing and debt collecting purposes;
  • The information recorded by Simpliciti Telecommunications may also be used to promote and market to you other services which we consider may be of interest to you. If you no longer wish to receive these communications from Simpliciti Telecommunications or from third parties, you can contact Simpliciti Telecommunications at any time and make an 'opt out' request

Disclosure of Information

Simpliciti Telecommunications may disclose your personal information to third parties which provide Simpliciti Telecommunications with outsourced functions. These may include, but not be limited to,

  • billing and debt collection,
  • customer enquiries and mailing systems,
  • other telecommunications service providers,
  • law enforcement agencies,
  • government agencies,
  • courts or our professional advisers, including our accountants,
  • Auditors and lawyers.
At all times, parties to which we contract services or disclose your personal information are either covered by contracts which protect your personal information or are required to comply with all relevant laws including the Privacy Act 1988.

Information Security

Simpliciti Telecommunications takes reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is stored securely. However, no transmission over the Internet or storage of information on servers connected to the Internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information from misuse, loss or unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure of data we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us.

Customer Access to Personal Information

Generally, you have the right to see or obtain a copy of personal information about you that we may hold. Simpliciti will handle requests for access to personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles. To request access to your personal information, please contact us on 1300 730 703. As long as we can adequately verify your identity, the person you speak to may be able to provide you with the information you require over the telephone. If you wish to have a copy of any information, we will ask that you put your request in writing and either post or fax that request to us. Again, this is to ensure that we can verify your identity. In some cases, we may need time to consider and respond to your request for access. If we need time to consider your request, we will acknowledge your request within 14 days and respond within a maximum of 30 days. Depending on the information you wish to access, where it is stored and the time it will take us to respond to your request for access, we may charge you a fee for the administrative cost of providing the information to you. If for any reason we refuse to give you access to your information we will let you know why, in writing. The circumstances in which we may refuse to give you access to personal information we hold about you include where giving you access:

  • • would have an unreasonable impact on other people's privacy;
  • • would prejudice any negotiations we are having with you;
  • • would prejudice an investigation of unlawful activity;
  • • Would prejudice activities carried out by, or for, a law enforcement body.
If you believe that we hold personal information about you that you consider to be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date you should tell us by calling 1300 730 703. In most cases, we will amend any inaccurate, incomplete or out of date information. In some cases it is necessary for us to keep a record of what we know or understand to be correct at a particular time. However, in those circumstances, if you request, we will take reasonable steps to associate with the relevant record of your personal information a statement to the effect that you claim the information is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. People Acting On the Customers Behalf

Simpliciti may give information to people acting on the customers behalf once authorized to do so by the customer; verbal authorization is acceptable for close family members but otherwise written authorization is required. Family members who are able to give the full name and data of birth of the customer may make preliminary enquiries on behalf of the customer.

Advertising

Simpliciti uses pixels, or transparent GIF files, to help manage online advertising. These GIF files are provided by our ad management partner, DoubleClick. These files enable DoubleClick to recognize a unique cookie on your Web browser, which in turn enables us to learn which advertisements bring users to our website. The cookie was placed by us, or by another advertiser who works with DoubleClick. With both cookies and Spotlight technology, the information that we collect and share is anonymous and not personally identifiable. It does not contain your name, address, telephone number, or email address.
